My first entry (and probably second post)
I shot this inside Woodrow Wilson Middle School in Terre Haute, IN. The clock face is about 7' and one of 4 in the tower. More photos of it on my purplepug.com (smugmug) site.

This has real potential. I like the placement of the clock and the black space works for me. However, the clock itself seems to be very slightly out of focus and, because of the angle from which you took it the perspective feels off, which spoils the clean graphic feel that, for me, would make it work well. Can you reshoot?

    thanks for the feedback.
Actually, the clock is in focus, you can tell by looking at the shaft in the center of the clock face. I am inside the tower, and the iron letters for the clock face are on the other side of the white material which present a soft view. It was very dark inside the tower.

I was attracted to that particular shot because of the odd perspective. I was using a 11mm, with the camera mounted about 6" from the floor.

There are a few head on shots in the gallery http://www.purplepug.com/gallery/2418679

this one could use some work, but it was a challenge to shoot due to the light.

Thanks, howboucha, for explaining about your original post. Now it makes sense to me. I do like the photo - and I love the one of the gears, though it is not a candidate for this challenge. I think it would be worth your time to work up the 4th one. If you do it, please post the result. I'd love to see how it comes out.
