Yeah caught this over on Dpreview forums. Didn't read it tho as I probably wouldn't be able to afford one

If they are really talking about a new mount the camera is likely 1.3 (APS-H) crop.

Another way of looking at it: 10MP at APS-C (the 400D) is the same pixel density as 17MP at APS-H and 25.6MP full frame. A 22MP APS-H sensor might prompt worries about lens resolution but I doubt a 22MP full frame sensor would.

Anything serious on the 40D?. I tried to look at DP review regarding this, but the crap to serious ratio was seriously skewed towards crap.

I'm calling BS on this. Half the size of existing models, and a new mount? So you're telling me they're going to ditch 50+ EOS lenses and tens of thousands of existing users for a weather sealed Rebel?
