I recall back in the days where you were allowed in the cockpit on International Flights... I was taken back by the amount of switches, buttons, levers, and dials they could fit in such a small room.
You gotta wonder how they know everything is working correctly when you see just how many gizmo's there are up front.
It's the second time - as I can remember - that I am in a cockpit of a plane.
The pilot was a nice fellow because he walked in the corridors saluting the people,
Everybody was Portuguese and was going to the beach on holidays.
So, he was very relaxed ...:D we all were ...
But I must consider that it can be dangerous.
I carried my bag to the cockpit with the camera inside. I could have everything there. But to be paranoic about security is silly.
At the customs in the Dominican Republic my friend (a woman) had to give away 2 face creams. Later, as we flew, she found her little bottle of tear drops ...
The creams were expensive.
My wife and myself we have drunk the water from the bottle we were carrying, not to fly with it.
I wonder which is going to be the reaction of the pilot of the 747 which will take us to India next March ...
I can remember now that I have been in 747 cabin quite some years ago.
