wheelchair sports- what setting

Tomorrow I am taking photos of my students in their wheelchair hockey game and I would like for the photos to be good...I have my new used 20D and a 50mm1.4, or 75-300 5.0 lens,,,,what ISO,flash?,etc..setting should I use...i an taking photos in a very well light YMCA gym...I am new and trying to improve my photos (within the next month I will be getting good glass in a 70-200 2.8 IS) but for now i do not have it so I am hoping to hear...I will post the photos tomorrow night...thanks widget
(2) Canon 20d, (1) canon 30d, 70-200is 2.8, tamron 17-50,canon 50mm 1.4

    I don't have any advice for you as I am new.
    But I do look forward to seeing your photos.

    Your 70-200 2.8 should be awesome!

    (within the nest month I will get the 70-200 but right now I have to use the 75-300 so I do not know how good they will be...

    yeah, I should have said it will be awesome when you get it. :)

    Unless your going to use the flash I would say go with the 50mm lens.

    It's all about exposure.

    You will need a higher shutter speed to capture action. So I'd forget the
    70-300 and go instead with the 50.

    Set your shutter speed as high as you can. To get higher speeds, set the
    ISO between 400-800. 1600 if you must but realize the higher the ISO,
    the more noise you are likely to get. Then set the shutter/aperture according
    to the lighting conditions you find at the gym--remember for the stop action
    you want for the game, you will need shutter speed so set the aperture as
    wide open as you can then adjust the shutter as required.
