Waiting for spring!

Hi there! I'm a new convert - a former "Old Skool" flickr member that decided to grow a little. I love getting feedback on my pictures and enjoy taking pics. This is the first I've posted since I just bought my account - sadly a regular account (I can't justify 'pro' just yet) - however, maybe later - anyway here is the picture I'd love to share.

It is an old seed spreader sitting in a farmer's field near my house. I drove by it and saw the splash of red and stopped and trapsed my way across a muddy field (ruining my shoes in the progress, and got this pic). . .

This is a rice field in rural Arkansas.

I like the splash of red against the gray sky and earth. Well seen! It seems a tad dark to me, but I do like it.

I like the mood you're trying to convey. The spreader could use a bit more room in the frame, though. The clouds look like they're hanging about 10 feet over the ground!
