Ahahahaha .... and it is SUGAR :rofl

These gem shaped objects are sugar crystals, the same kind we put in our coffee...... I'm guessing several hundred will fit on one teaspoon.

This shot was taken with my old Sony F707 and an Antique Microscope.
Re-edited ...... enjoy your coffee :D .... Skippy

Excellent shot! Love those microscopy photos. Try dissolving some sugar and letting it evaporate to capture a shot of the fern-like crystal formation. Very cool!

Get it out and play with it, I actually removed the top off this old scope, it just clips back on, as my camera cannot be attached to it.

Glad you liked it........ Skippy :D

This is a really old shot I dug up, found it while I was looking at a backup of some old shots on a CD. :D

I've seens some great shots done through microscopes, but this Antique one is more for display than anything else, I have a new one but its a disecting scope which does not have a huge magnification on it.

    Thanks for looking......... Skippy

Yep well this is processed sugar, granulated, when we see it on a spoon the granualars all look like tiny squares to our eyes, but they are all kinds of shapes :D ...... Skippy

Hey there Brian, yup it's just plain ole sugar granuals, the original shot has so much purple fringing in it, converting it to B&W was the better option.
