Can Passwords be appled to Categories Instead of galleries?

I have discovered that having a lot of passworded galleries is a major P.I.A. especially given the administrative things you cannot do to a passworded gallery (like create or apply a quick set of characteristics.

Has anybody figured a way to apply a password to (for instance) a category or maybe an alternate homepage? This would probably eliminate those other hassels.

I'll move this to Hacks, just in case a SmugHacker has an idea about how to do it.

    Brad,

Once you get SmugBrowser working...you can do this by doing a bulk update at a category level. thumb.gif
