Hmm not quite right
Bit of a push in this direction
There- just right- err excuse me I'm still here
You sure they pushed it to the end ???
I'm thinking they used a bloody big eye dropper, then tossed it over the side when they saw you with your camera, and in an effort to disguise the fact that they'd been up to no good made out they'd pushed that water droplet all the way to the edge ......... ahhhhhh they're messing with your head mate
What an excellent series Brian, gosh you find some amazing subjects to photograph .... Skippy

Thanks Skippy,
No they didn't put it there (or move it)
Think it was more in the way or else they were trying to find a water bed
i kind of get how you do these great shots camera wise but how do you actually get the bugs there/find them etc?
Thanks Stustaff
I don't get them there - I just spot them. I was actually intent on doing some dewdrop flower refraction shots when I noticed the fly on one of the grass blades- wasn't until I put my lens on them I realised they were mating (these flies are only about 3mm body length). I was actually intent on trying to get a refracted image of the flies in the drop but didn't manage it- they were moving around to much- so just took some pics of their antics.
Next time you are on a grass lawn try laying down on it and looking around- you'd be amazed at what's going on

That's one strong bug, pushing something that big, and "carrying" a little one at the same time.

Matting is just a natural obligation, a drag.
May be she was hipnotized by the view of the World throught the bubble...
Nice sequence Brian.

Not quite sure what the female was upto (maybe powdering her nose?) but it was funny to watch.
