This is a photograph that was taken January 2005 at our horse farm in Vermont. Our Arabian mare, Savannah's Golden Dawn, and filly, Alexis Marengo, poses in majesty and grace in the arena in the winter snow. This is the first day that I had discovered that I could take black and white photographs with my digital camera. I stood out in the freezing weather for about 20 minutes waiting on the perfect pose, knowing that eventually I would capture it.

Your welcome ~ I appreciate feedback from photographers, I am an amature, so I have a long ways to go, I am pretty much a point and shoot..lol..... I bought a digital camera and have had it 4 months and I am still learning about all of its features. I love taking photographs of our horses.. especially those two, they are my favorites. I have a silly ?.. what is IMO? ....

I look forward to meeting her, and seeing her work, like I said earlier, I love taking photographs of horses, I have captured some amazing things .. most with my old 35 mm film camera, its all about timing, I am learning. I am glad she does not eat them...lol. They are incredible intellectual animals, when I go out to the barn during the day, our horses talk to me, especially if it is hay time or graining time.. In some cases I have seen a few instances where the horse is smarter than the rider.... just an example of that this weekend, when a rider was leaving our barn and her horse kept turning around, and around and finally I told the rider to go across the lawn, because it didn't seem as if the horse did not want to go out the driveway(as it was almost solid ice), guess what, the horse went right across the lawn...... case and point, horse is smarter than its owner... Anyway, I am so glad that I found this website, I look forward to seeing other photographers work and seeing feedback and learning from from advanced photographers. .... Sandra:D
