Profit still added when ordering own prints

I have ordered prints from my own photos in a SmugMug Pro gallery before. I am pretty sure that when I made those orders logged in as the gallery owner, I was only charged for the basic print price without the profit I have added for the galleries in Custom Pro Pricing.

Now, when I try ordering from different galleries (for instance this one: http://www.initio.dk/gallery/2440699) I experience that the profit is added. How can I avoid that? Have I changed something myself?

Best regards,
David List

David, clear your smugmug.com and intio.dk cookies, and close the browser, and log back in, and purchase again.. let us know?

Still the same. That was with IE7. Just tried installing Firefox 2 and used that. That didn´t change a thing.

I understand from your response that I am right in that I ought to be able to buy prints from my own photos, when logged in, without the profit?

If that means anything: I have a general portfolio pricing, and only special pricing for a few galleries. The problem I experience now affects all galleries.

    Hi David,

I think it's got something to do with the cookies and your custom domain. Is the custom domain name set up correctly? Cname and A-record, pointing to the correct places?

Yes. I just checked that for the third time. Everything is exactly as described on that page.

If there is some quirk in my CNAME forwarding, I need help for detecting where and how to report that to my registrar.

One thing: As I enter the payment step (secure area) when trying to buy prints from my own photos when logged in, the domain changes to smugmug.com. Is that what I should expect?

Can you check/ask your registrar about your A-record settings? according to this test:
    http://www.dnsreport.com/tools/dnsreport.ch?domain=initio.dk
    none is set.

Yep, this is correct. The cart will have the smugmug domain.

I have been away for a while because of work. I hope you will still see this and try to answer. I suspect that they will ask me as the domain owner, what I want it set to. What should my answer be?

    Thank you for your help.

The A-record for @ should be set to 63.81.134.23

I did that myself now: making sure that the CNAME forwarding for www.initio.dk is www.smugmug.com and that the A-record for www.initio.dk is 63.81.134.23.
My registrar does not have A-record settings for a domain name, only for subdomains or host names - for instance www.initio.dk. Should that work?

I will try out things tomorrow, when the change ought to have been implemented.

The profit thing works now - I don´t have to pay profit to myself when ordering own prints.
The DNS report from the site you referred to still fails in finding an A record for the domain as such, but does say that it finds one for the subdomain www.initio.dk.
    Apparently that did it.

Thank you for your help, ivar.
