One Day of MI IV - Harry's Raptor Site

Well, I had only one day to enjoy the company that was Merritt Island IV. Harryb was kind enough to take me to his secret raptor site....

We went out a long causway, I think called Peacock Foot Drive....

Then you turn left at the last palm tree on the right ( or was that the other way around?).....

Finally after a long drive, with some crashes witnessed along the way, we came to Harry's raptor center....

Where I saw the most beautiful face I have ever seen:

I was totally smitten, and she a loveley poser....

But she had an over protective dad.....

And a Mexican mother who was quite striking....

She also had several siblings who were quite adorable:

And there were several lovable "Chimps" hanging around her as well

After an all too brief lunch, I made it back to home to send you this. I have about 200 to post process as well, but wanted to get these few off.

Thanks for having me, I had a great, but too short a time at Merritt Island IV!

I walked that road with Harry last year, and he didn't get the owls or the Caracara to appear.

Great shots!! How close were you? They look like zoo shots!

So who are the "chimps"? The guy in the Advrider shirt is Pathfinder, right?

It was great meeting, shooting, and drinking some Coronas with ya. Outstanding shots.

Just to be complete, I posted these on the end of a note to Pathfinder. I am going to put these here as well, just to keep all my shots in one thread. Sorry if you had to look at them twice!

Nice series of raptors. I'm not sure I like you calling my buddies "chimps"...I think perhaps "chumps" is more appropriate. eek7.gif:Dwings.gif Just kiddin' Kevin & Nick. You guys are the bomb.:ivar

Awsome stuff Z, and thanks for taking a behavioral shot of me rolleyes1.gif. I really have to remember that before I go on a trip with tons of photographers that I need to get a hair cut first. And for your info I finally posted some of my shots from the raptor center. No guarantee when I'll get anything else posted but hopefully soon.
