Dragonfly head stand

LordV had asked about this behavior in another post: Dragonflies stand on their heads and point their tails to the sun when it gets hot. Since they can't sweat they have to decrease the amount of surface area that the light can heat up. Here are a few of my better examples of this behavior:

Kinda difficult to frame them when they are almost vertical :)

    In the first shot he really looks like he's have a great work out.

    Wonderful shots and excellent examples of this behaviour. I assume this must be linked with territorial behaviour, otherwise they could always go and sit in the shade :)
