As Shay Stephens takes on his role a SmugMug Artist-in-Residence, Pathfinder will take over as Mod of the Techniques forum.

PF has a tremendous body of knowledge, and is a tremendous help to n00bs and veteran shooters alike.

Wow, I have really BIG footsteps to fill here.

I didn't really understand that I would be Shay's follow up act.

I'll have try to do my best to live up to Shay's high standard.thumb.gif

I agree w/David...........you know your stuff and have continually amazed me for as long as I've been around at your patience and ability to explain technique clearly and concisely!!! Way to go...a great choice for a technique mod! thumb.gif

Agreed. Superb technical and historical knowledge, concise and clear writing stlye.

I'd love to take a week-long flash seminar with you, PF. Not because it would take you a week to explain, but because it would take me a week to begin to absorb it.
    Sid.

Congratulations, Pathfinder! clap.gifclapclap.gif I can't tell you how many times I have printed out your advice so I could read and re-read it while trying to absorb the subtleties.

Please take the idea of giving a flash seminar seriously. It is a really, really good idea!! Maybe for starters some time could be put aside for a short version at the annual shoot out. An hour or two is not enough to absorb everything, but it would certainly help get people with the basics.

    Stay warm.
