It was an overcast day and I had the shutter set at 1/250. I had no idea that I would come across this scene and these guys really move. You can not even see more than a ball of blur while they are fighting.

I want to clarify that the cocks were not injured! The one sharp talon is covered by a concave rubber strapped on er... object. Look carefully at the pics.

    Hi Charles,
Is this in Cebu? I'm glad to hear the cocks don't kill each other. I suppose the men bet on them, huh? I guess the man would not want his pet killed. The cocks look very beautiful. I wish you had a picture of one of them just standing still. You did a good job of capturing the action of the fight.

Not Cebu, but north Mindinao outside of Butuan. I think they were trial fights or training seesions as I did not see any gambling. And yes the are really beautiful. The one in the last picture is just incedible. I had never seen a cock like that before. Thanks for the kind words, I do have other shots of the fight that are even harder to figure out and were not included. Oh yea, standstill, hehe only when held or in the pause just before total annilation as in pic #2.
