Add to address book?

I clicked add to address book in one of the orders I got...what did I just do? I was hoping when I clicked it I would get info about what it is. What is it?

    it adds the email address of your customer to your email share address book.

    Speaking of "Add to address book"...
    The interface to add presents fields for Name and Email, and a Save button. Is there a way to add a list of comma or semicolon delimited addresses? Maybe using the Name <address> standard?
