Love the look and expressions on your pictures. How long ago were these taken?

    Seneca and Virginia.

The photos were shot in 1972 and 1973.
I was then a young man serving the Portuguese Army in Timor Lorosae (former Portuguese Timor).
A waist of 2 long years like many young americans did in Vietnam (those who came back).

As you know Portugal was mantaining a war in Angola, Mozambique and Guinee against liberation movements.

I was lucky then: no war in Timor.
I was 25 years old and I was a photography lover, following my father's footsteps.

I was in Timor in the photo where I am with the Nikon F. I had just bought it in Hong Kong.

I was also using a Pentax at the time. But Nikon was THE camera.

The other photos were done in Bali, Indonesia, where we spent - my friend Jorge and myself - a month ! clap.gif

The photo in the plane was on our way back to Timor, in August 1973.

The bear was not allowed in the army and I had to cut it on arrival.

:D Thank you for looking and commenting :D
