PW's

Well B&H just got some more of my money! I ordered two Pocket Wizards today.....400 bigguns :D . I'm pretty sure the cord that comes with the wizards is not going to work with my Alien Bee's, but I'm sure a quick trip to Radio Shack can fix that.

I opted for UPS next day air, so they should be here sooner than later:clap ! Updte: I just checked and they have been shipped! Now that's service!

Photography....the ultimate money pit! :rofl

You may want to find a trigger cord for your camera too. You can do that
    easily.

Did your PWs have the cords you needed to connect to your ABs?

No. The cord that comes with them will attach my 20D to a PW, but I needed a male to male mono cord ( I think that was the technical name), which I knew before hand, but opted to stop by the local Radio Shack and pick up the length I wanted for less than 5 bucks. They work great, and I will be using these cold snowy days to practice with them and my Bee's! :D

I am glad to hear Radio Shack has the cords as the ones from PW cost $17.95 or so if I remember correctly. :D

That was the reason I asked, I did not know I could get useable cords from Radio Shack. I use the Mini plug to 1/4 in RCA plug for my FlashPoint strobes from Adorama

They have 'em! A buddy told me he got his there, for cheap, so I went a looking. Mine cost $3.99 / $4.24 with tax!

I finally got a chance to try out the PW's. My niece wanted some shots taken, and I am always eager to try more shooting with my Bee's, especially since I have "cut the cord!"

I was sooooooo nice being able to move around, without tripping over that stupid cord. The PW's worked like a charm!iloveyou.gif

I've got a lot of learning to do, when it comes to studio portraits, and now it will be so much easier.

If you are still attached to your strobes via the cord, take the leap, get the PW's!

Here is a shot I took with the assistance of mine....

    Attachment not found.

I know this is about accessories...but hey, we need a pic in here once in awhile! :D
