Hey guys,

Here's one from a series I shot last night. Used my trusty 50mm f/1.8 with and AB800 camera right metered at f/2.8 (well incidental was f/4 but reflected was f/2.8) Couldn't get it to power down more.

Used a large fan camera left. (blew my background stand over :)

    :) Thx Saurora,

yeah I couldn't do anything with the nose itch but I thought it had a nice look to it. I uploaded a less itchy one though, converted to a subdued duotone with a blue tint.

By the way the model in these shots is my wife. She thinks shes fat. I think shes nuts :)

I really like #2. Her eyes come right out of the picture and b&w conversion is lovely.

    Thanks rahmonster,

Yeah it's probably one of my favorite shots to date. I was debating wether to keep it in color or B+W, but once I tried the conversion it just popped out of the page. I used the greg gorman b+w technique btw. You can find it on google.

I need to get to a better monitor, but judging from this one, the B&W is excellent. I like her expression, pose and the shadows. I do find myself a little torn as to whether I'm supposed to look at the ring or her eyes.

I'd crop out the wedge of clothing at the bottom of the frame in both shots which is a little distracting.

your wife is quite lovely and its very interesting to see both your progression shooting her, and her modeling getting better with each series. the 2nd B+W has a very pro feel to it, on both accounts. You're lighting her eyes particularly well here.

one suggestion is to have your wife raise her eyebrows a smidge. helps to keep from relaxing the mouth/jaw area and look less "bored".

Nice shots, but I think #2 needs to be cropped without the shirt, it complicates the portrait.

A little more light on the left eye in the first shot. Beauty pics

Great images. Nice skin tone and the eyes are very strong. On the 2nd image the bright spot in the upper right makes me feel the hair light, especially due to the crop (in cam or not).

Excellent images! But I think in this case, although the lighting and DOF is great, the model's eyes really make your job look amazing. Thanks for sharing.

The only thing I notice that is distracting is the feeling that she is trying to cover herself up. Keeping her arms so close together in front of her chest, it looks like she wants to hide her body from you. The wedge of clothing mentioned above needs to go as well. Otherwise, the lighting and feel of it looks great.
