I have been asked to take some photos of a guy's daughter this spring.
They will be some band photos and I will be taking them at the school.
They want some of her with the instrument she plays.
I would like to post these photos on my website. The parents know of my websit and get a kick out of being able to view there sons basketball photos on it.
I don't think there will be any trouble with them in putting there daughters photos on my site, but should I have them sign something or do I have the daughter sign a release?
If the parents need to sign becuase of the daughters age, then what happens down the road when she is older?
I would guess she is around 16-17 years old now.
What if for what ever reason when she turns of age she decides I should not be able to use the photos on my site anymore?

If she's a minor, her parents have to sign. Her signature right now is worthless. Later on when she's reached the "age of consent" she can sign for herself for photos made at that time. This photo is being made while she's a minor and her parent's sig is what you need and all you'll need.
BTW - any time you're getting a sig on a model release for someone whose age could be questioned later, it's a good idea to get proof of age (driver's license, etc.), photocopy it and attach the photocopy to the model release. That way, if it turns out the person lied about his/her age, you're covered.
