Nice pics....you TEASE. :cry Maybe you could FedEx me a pair. I don't know why I can't find any of these eagles around the area. There are suppose to be about 75 active nests in the area. Pfffffff Keep 'em coming.
What an awesome site Dave. We have sites like that in Orlando but they are vultures instead of Eagles. I'll trade a few with you. I think Harry has all our Eagles over on the coast!
Great location, can't wait to see the rets of the shots.

Here are some of the better ones.
All with the XTi, all with a Canon 400L f5.6
The views with a lot of eagles in them are full framed shots. (less some straightening of the horizon)
After it was done snowing.

Absolutely exquisite Dave, number 4 and 5 are standouts, and possibly the best Eagles posted, or certainly the best that I have seen. I may have to catch a plane and hurry out there. Congratulations, all are wall hangers.
Oh man
Yes, those are the blow you away type shots....look at that eagle and fish....those are awesome Dave! Love the poster you're getting blown up. So glad you finally got some decent weather down there and beautiful shots. Most excellent!
It is the purpose of life that each of us strives to become actually what he is potentially. We should be obsessed with stretching towards that goal through the world we inhabit.
Cody, while we were in Burlington, some of the locals were telling us to
go down to Keokuk for more eagles. We didn't have enough time for that drive this time.
Wow...without exageration I'm struggling for words.
I'm just getting serious about photogrpahy and trying to quantify what it is I want to do through photographs. Looking at your eagles Dave I realized I want to cast a focused lens on some of the wonders happening around us everyday. I'd like to be a part of sharing those moments with others, a part of saying 'slow down, take a minute to look, this is what you're missing'.
I don't know where I'll find my niche in photography but I only hope some day one of my photos will inspire someone the way yours have inspired me today. Thanks Dave.

PS: As I typed this I got email confirmation that my XTi (warrantied replacement) is on it's way from B&H.

Donn, you're welcome, and thank you for the kind words.
This is just an amazing series of shots, Dave!!! The close-ups are superb and the wide group shots are jaw-dropping...I never knew eagles congregated like that!!! thumbthumbbow
