Hey, that is me! What on earth was I doing holding my camera down and not being ready for that shot! It was right on top of me!

Shots look pretty good
Try and get closer crops or frame then tighter annd get inside the helmet with that lens( what lens were you using)

Lacrosse and football helmets, baseball caps - all those faces hidden in shadow during mid-day games, it's a challenge for sure.
