These guys were a pretty good distance out so these are crops but I still find them interesting. It's the first time I've seen Anhinga chicks before and got to see them get fed by the adults. They stick their entire neck down the adults throat. So here they are in all their cutesness, or not.

Very good shots of a rare event.

Since anhinga's are about as beautiful as a wood stork, they dont get much press.

Not cute enough like Harry's squirrels.
It is the purpose of life that each of us strives to become actually what he is potentially. We should be obsessed with stretching towards that goal through the world we inhabit.

I don't see the second picture of some reason, but if it's as good as the first I get the idea. Well done Nick. thumb.gifthumb.gifthumb.gif

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

Hey Mike, this was at Wakodahatchee Wetlands. There seemed to be all ages of Anhinga, from newly born to adolescents.

What's wrong with the wood storks? They really do have a face only a mother could love, don't they!

At one point it looked like the momma was eating the baby, it had it's entire head and neck down it's throat.
