Mount Vernon on President's Day

Mount Vernon is the Historic home and gardens of our first United States president, George Washington. Every year, on President’s day the estate is open to the public for free… A wreath laying ceremony is performed at the tomb.

This was actually last year... Had to work this year... Mount Vernon is well worth the trip... beutiful gardens in the spring and summer! Great photo ops of an historic place in the USA.

    Nice photo journey! I especially like the shot of the soldiers in line. Well done.

    I have a feeling George Washington is rolling in his grave given the current state of his country.

    That was one of my favorites, too. That one guy in front didn't look too pleased at having his picture taken, though. hahahahaa
