I started photographing this hawk today with full anticipation that he would fly towards the camera, since it seemed like that was his only option...so
he looked to the left...
then looked to the right...
then looked behind him...

Great shots, Russ. I'm envious of the way you can get so close. Out here in AZ we don't have trees. So the hawks can see you coming a mile away. :bluduh

The fun part is I get to try it again.
He was about 7-8 meters away from the lens. Seems like he was also unaware of my presence until I noticed him.
