I just created a new Category and changed a Private gallery to that Category. Now that new Category shows up (visible) on my home page.

Help! :huh :scratch

Thanks.

Those two links look exactly the same here. You sure you're logged out when viewing?

I was just emailed by help@smugmug.com that the reason the private gallery shows up in one URL and not the other is because that private gallery is in a share group. eek7.gif

Andy, I am working with SmugMug help ... but it seems they have no answers just the usualy "clear the cache and try again".

I wonder if others have experienced this issue with private galleries that are part of a share group showing up on the home page while not loggedIn.

Any share group visited the galleries will show up
for a while even when logged out.

Clear Smugmug cookies and they should go away.

What is the private gallery I'm supposed to see on your homepage?

My guess is you won't see it unless you visited the share group.

    A guess here....

If you followed one of your Sharegroup url's on your computer, a cookie was created. Thus, it is a smugmug feature to show the gallery since the cookie is there ( suggesting you had legitimate access to that gallery) Clearing cookies will likely make it stop showing if you really wanted it gone.

My understanding is that these cookies expire after a week or so...

Damn. You are correct the "ShareGroup" URLs causes the Private gallery to show up on my homepage.

I now have another problem. That Private gallery shows up in the middle of my other categories and not where I have it placed when I'm logged in.

Did I uncover another bug? eek7.gif

    Hi Johnny,

When I look at your site now, the Private category is the last one. I guess I'm confused ... ne_nau.gif

Edit: Johnny, I see the help desk is helping also. We'll try to get this figured out that way.
