Queen Elizabeth 2 (QE2) has arrived in Sydney yesterday evening. It was welcomed by thousands of onlookers, large flotilla or water craft and a flock of media helicopters. Impressive horn announced it arrival and was replied by loud applause from the spectators. This spectacle was the first time two Cunard Queens have been seen together in Sydney since the second world war when the original Queen Mary and Queen Elizabeth visited the city as troop carriers. The city of Sydney celebrated the occasion in its traditional way: an amazing fireworks display.

Queen Mary 2 is reportedly the biggest ocean liner build with a price tag of over 1 billion dollars. This impressive vessel is so big it could not dock in Circular Quay, where marine passenger terminal is located. Fancy a trip on this luxury ship? No problem, tickets range from 20000 to 250000 dollars per person.
