No see. Have you got external links turned on in your SM gallery?

I've got a Mac. No matter what I do I can't get properties with any key combo on my computer, and I've copied and changed the url several times but no luck.
The url on the large version of the photo reads:
    http://finnegan.smugmug.com/gallery/354833#129416109-L-LB

But no ".jpg" or anything works. ?
I used to with no problem when Send A Link was under the photo. But I no longer see it.

    Best
    Jerry

I'd suggest getting a three button mouse. That will make you life so much
easier. Then, right click and choose "copy image address" from the list.
However, you can do the same by holding the control key and pressing
the mouse button (while the mouse is over the image you want to grab
the address from). Either method copies the URL into the paste buffer.
To paste the URL, do "command" + "v" to put it into your post.

You will also need to turn external links on. Here are some useful tips. Scroll down
to the "How to post pics" link for more hints and tips.

    Hope that helps.

Why is this always a problem? I can see it just fine. Of course, it may have been fixed by now :)

The real problem is not that he's using properties, it's that he's not using the smugmug method of image sharing. That is, go to 'share this image', and then change the top category from 'email' to 'forums', and then select the URL for the size you want to display.

I always right-click protect my images, so the straight up URL copy never works for my stuff.

Also, maybe even just a two-button mouse? I haven't seen a three-button mouse since I worked with Sun workstations in the early 90's :D

I guess you haven't been mouse shopping for a while then mwink.gif

Wheels and buttons are all the rage.

    Well, God Fixed It
Don't know how, but when I just logged in an opened my thread: Presto! there was the image.
Anyway, I'll figure this out later but the image is showing.
    Best and Tanks,
    GVF

LATER: AHA ! I got it, see now how to use "share photo". All set. I posted another High Speed shot on a new thread, a fresh start. And one other of NYC Firemen after a fire, in People "Forum". ASA of the film is 3200.
    Thanks all for the help

Glad the image's showing for you :)

As for wheels and buttons-- yes, of course. But a strictly three button mouse? That's the oldest of the old school, man. 'Ceptin', of course, for the single button Mac mice :)

But I digress from the image!

I like it, in that a lot of the dynamic range of the crystal is preserved. it looks like it might have been a very technically challenging shot to make, in that whenever I try to take a shot like this, I almost inevitably blow highlights. Well done :)

Thanks, it was handheld, and if not for the 3200 speed film, impossible. But with that film, much higher shutter speeds are possible, even in found light at night, so you avoid camera-shake.
