Rusted Abandoned Train (Australia)

Hi Folks

On the weekend I went back down to photograph the old Train.
I think I left it a bit late in the day, but I wanted to see just how much of that train I could fit in with my Canon 10mm-22mm Lens.

I tell you I love this lens to bits I do :lust it's really sharp.

Unfortunately the Train is in an area with a lot of vegetation that throws shadows all over the place so your dealing with the darker shadows closer to the ground and base of the train, the lighter colours in the trees, and the bright light in the sky .... I'm pretty pleased with how it performed.

These two shots have been cropped from the top and the bottom.

    Thank you, I've only taken this lens out about 3-4 times, and I fell in love with it the first day :D it really is a great lens to have.

    Thank you..... this is what I love about this lens, even though it distorts it can be creative, at the 10mm range.

    Hey Skippy

    Cool shots clap.gifand I like the aspect ratio. I have been messing around with different versions of panos and have come to find a compromise between the golden rectangle, which is about 1 by 1.5 and the mega pano which is usually around 1 by 5 or more. The ratio I find pleasing is 1 by 2.5. Anyway I like your crop and it fits the subject well. thumb.gif

    I sooooooo want to learn to do PANO's, it's my goal for the 2007 Dgrin ShootOut, yep to come back home and know how to create a PANO :D

    Actually the location of that train is great, it is along a bike and walking track, and its really quite a surprise to come across it, the track beside it is still active and thats for the Blue's Train. :D
