Looks like I'll need to invest in some wider glass soon! :rofl

Great light and mood over the citythumb.gif
If you want to go wider just take more pictures and stitch them together. If you don't have Photoshop consider CS3 coming soon, and it will have a great photomerge feature which will stitch the images automatically.

I particularly like the water surface texture - velvety. Exposure spot on and above all, an entrancing evening mood.

    Thank you Marc!

I've been meaning to start taking more pano shots. I used to take them from time to time when I was taking potshots with my G3, but haven't done any yet with my 10d. I suppose that would put more weight into the argument of getting a ND gradient filter, instead of just doing what I've been doing which is faking it by combining multiple exposures using layer masks in photoshop. That would start getting way too complicated when tacking panoramics together.

Even saying so, I've still got my eye on the 17-40 f/4. I rented it for a shoot last year and it was a joy to shoot with. I was very unhappy to bring it back to the rentals desk the following monday.
