FOR SALE:

Tamron SP AF17-50mm F/2.8 XR Di-II LD Aspherical [IF]

this lens was purchased on 10/19/2006, so it's not old at all. it's in GREAT condition, it's been used, but with love and care. I take care of all my things as if they were all made of egg shells.

I've included many pictures of the actual lens, and a couple of pictures so you can see what this lens can do.

It balances with a camera very well, it feel extremely stable and well built, I've had no problems whatsoever. feel free to ask all the questions that you'd like.

the price is just $400 and that includes SHIPPING AND PAY PAL FEES COVERED. and you can ask CORNERKETCH, the buyer of my 70-200 f/4 lens...I package it up well. :)

it comes with the lens hood, of course, the end cap, the front cap, all of the documentation, and the original box.

now for the pictures:

i own this lens too and just want to say if you're looking for a fast wide angle zoom that isn't $1000, this is the best way to spend your cash. I've bought and sold a few before settling on this one. It's a fine piece of glass.thumb.gif

I agree...this was my main lens on my old 30D. This is the lens to get if you can't afford the Canon 17-55mm f2.8 IS (at almost 2.5x the price!). It's just plain AWESOME!

hahah. well, I got my new lens, the 24-105 f/4 IS...and I haven't really had enough time to truly test it fully, because the weather here SUCKS - it's windy like crazy and it's supposed to thunderstorm all day...so won't be able to do some good outside tests til tomorrow. well, I tried some inside tests and I realize exactly how slow f/4 is in low light...even with IS...it was pretty hard to get a good picture of my cat, because he kept moving - IS doesn't help with that. either way, I love both of these lenses....so I just need to run some more tests about it...

of course y'all's comments made me do some serious thinking about this lens....and considering that I wasn't going to be able to get what I wanted for it....I mean, for $380, can you justify not keeping an almost perfect lens? that is the question I now have to answer...
