When there's birds but no sun! :-(

Reading some of your MI trip posts (great shots under those conditions!) thought I'd share a few "no sun" day images. Yes, drab overcast.

Here's a flamingo who was keeping a close eye on me.

Here are some skimmers who were basking in the overcast, not sun. They were intrigued by my laying down on the sand to get a lower point of view.
Probably thinking... "all that for this?" :-)

Best regards to all,
Markjay

That skimmer shot is great. The guy in front looks like the leader checking you out and all the heads turned towards you is cool. It almost looks like they are standing in snow.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

Thanks! The beach sand here on the west coast of florida DOES look like snow. However, on an overcast day, it's a little more profound. Also, the sand in that area was all "messed up" because of this large group (you're only seeing some of them :-) shifting the sand around with their feet.

I know, I know... it's been a while, Harry. I've spent SO much time getting my website http://brightsidestudio.com up and running the way I want. Then, I engaged in a google advertising experiment that was short lived.
Then, I lost my "day job"
    Then, I got engaged
Then.... nothing's been the same since :-)

Besides, don't you get bored seeing my shorebird and pelican shots? rolleyes1.gif

Only wish the flamingo feathers were as sharp as the eye in that one.
    Can't win 'em all, right?
