    Nice! thumb.gif

I was out at Keys View for sunset on Sunday and saw the same clouds as you. I was at Joshua Tree for three days, Sunday, Monday and Tuesday and have lots of photos to go through still.

I don't want to thread hijack by posting my own pictures here, but since you asked (via PM), I will post links to the three sunset shots I have on my website that were taken at Keys View the same night as your photo.

#1 Sun is just starting to set behind Mt. San Jacinto
#2 Looking east towards Jumbo Rock no less, the sky to the left is part of what you have in your shot, but you are looking west.
#3 Last moments of color in the sky

The clouds were mostly north of my location and hiding behind a tall hill so I didn't get the complete coverage you captured. What we did see was pretty amazing however; the southern edge of those clouds you photographed (and they were slowing moving south) looked like waves in the ocean on fire. Unfortunately my location did not permit a good photo of them.

I will post a thread of my own shortly with my favorite shots from that weekend in Joshua Tree.

    Bill:

Vermenton might wind up regretting his invitation to you to post in his thread because I for one have to praise your fantastic shots, each and every one is beautiful. Colors, composition, light....

    Unbelievable!!! thumb.gif

I'm thinking you must've used some filters to get some of the depth of color because whenver I try my hand at desert shots I'm always dissapointed by the flatness the sun brings to the landscape. Please enlighten us.
