i was just outside looking for a hawk who has been flying over the house all morning. I ran outside to grab a shot - i thought he was around.
instead i find a dog roaming on my property....
i know hes got a id tag, but i dont go near strange dogs...

I hope you called the authorities to report him...since he obviously belongs to someone that cares. And it looks like snow around his mouth. And why would you post the shot to dgrin?

Did I miss a joke here?

That's a pretty old golden...looks well loved and is probably pretty stressed being out in the cold and lost. Hope she/he gets rescued by the right parties. I hope you called someone and didn't just post the shot on Dgrin. :cry

That old guy has not walked too far and likely belongs to one of your neighbours. Be sure and report it to your local SPCA as there will be one very worried owner trying to find their treasured pet.
