Bees -round II

I don't like the way the exposure turned out on these. Those yellow flowers are so bright that it's like shooting against snow -the light meter gets tricked into under exposing. Instead of shooting with the camera set to -2/3 EV next time I'm going to shoot with no EV and see if I get better color.
Canon 20D + 100mm macro + MR-14 set to a 4:1 ratio and -2 1/3 EV. Minimal post processing and no cropping -ever...
Note: Today I picked a spot in that patch of flower and just let the bees come to me -seemed to work better than trying to move up on them.

I honesty don't think it would work, since it was the reflection off of the yellow flowers that confused the camera -something that wouldn't affect a gray card reading. I think the mistake I made was shooting at -2/3 EV and I'll find out this weekend if I'm right -and post here with the results

I have the same trouble with my plant that has bright yellow flowers on it too.... although Brian makes Macro look a sinch cause he can
It really is not easy to do at all, and most times you don't get a second chance to take the shot.
Hope you figure out a way around your problem ....... Skippy
