Mt. San Jacinto Wilderness

Took the Palm Springs tram up to the Mt. San Jacinto Wilderness and climbed up to the peak (10,834 feet) with my son. The trails are great up there and very well marked (although it was a bit icy). Beautiful scenery...you can see the Salton Sea across the desert.

    Sweet! Many years back a buddy and me hiked up the back side of the mountain over a weekend, then at the top had some lunch and took the tram down to the desert where some friends were there to pick us up. It was a great area to hike, very beautiful. And the tram ride was awesome too. Your photos brought back some good memories :-)

    Looks like a great place to go visit next month when spring hits too. The second shot would be pretty nice if all that grass was green.
