Phew, crowd control was a toughie..
Let's do something simpler this time. I suggest we shoot ourselves some bowls.
One or many, metal, pottery, wood, tupperware - just get some bowl in the frame and make it your primary subject.
As always: fresh pictures, moderate post-processing.
For the rest of the basic rules and index please check out this sticky.
Let's get some bowls! :-) :wink

Welcome to the Class and thank you for your entries!
They are very good looking and sure "meet the brief" :-)
(Not actually empty, I know - but the flame has gone 'out' )

Great! Thank you very much for the entries!
You really helped to kick-start this week's class!
The bowl at our right is a small example of some 6 or 7 we have which came from Macau and are about 80/90 years old.
The other bowl, which has been from my father in law, is also some 80/90 years old. When he was a baby, his mother used to bath him in there.
Obrigado, my friend, nice entries!
Here is one I took while at First Friday's this past Friday.

While I don't remember mentioning bins, buckets or barrels , you get a credit for the initiative
I was so concentrated on getting the bowl to stay there that I didn't think to look at the countertop! Thanks.
Nikolai.
I would like you to tell me if what I shot are not empty bowls: the empty white paint bucket and the concrete barrel.
According to http://dictionary.reference.com/search?db=dictionary&q=bowl a bowl is a "a rather deep, round dish or basin, used chiefly for holding liquids, food, etc."
In this sence, a bowl is what I shot. Am I wrong ?

Got it !
a Ball in a Bowl:
Different Background:
Bowl on a Bowl, makes a Ball
some hot Bowl on Bowl action
Not sure if this is qualifies as a bowl, but it's cool looking. So I'll post it.

Welcome to the Class!
Thank you for your entry! Nice set of definitely empty bowls!
I would suggest next time to exclude the light source (window) from the frame by shooting parallel to the window as opposed to into it.. Just a thought...
Okay let's see if this works. I think I have the linking down now. This qualifies...took it last week in Istanbul

Naaaaaaice!
Will we see more in Journeys?
Well, Nik, now that I learned how to link, I guess I can do a few without those pesky red X's
