That's a nice shot, stranger. Looks like you had some precipitation when you took that shot.

Good to hear from ya. Certain segments around here have been a tad rowdy during your absence.

Hey there Lynn how you doing :D
Is this the same kind of wood pecker that the cartoon character is created around ??? "Woody Wood Pecker"

The red crest on his head is very distinct isn't it, quite a pretty bird too.

Hi, Lynn, nice to "see" you!!! Your woodpecker is great.

That is a cool woodpecker, I went to Magnolia last Monday hoping for a woodpecker, got one last year, but it was a bit further on into spring. I plan to go back and keep hunting. I get distracted by the darn egrets!!!

ginger (let me know when you come here again. We could meet at Magnolia)

never mind re laptop, I bought one.

But that is still a cool woodpecker. If the weather gets nice here, I am going out in the morning sometime this week just to see if I hear one. I love the sound.
After all is said and done, it is the sweet tea.

Nice shot, just love seeing these birds picture wise, but would really love to see one in the wild, they are really a neat bird to see, and better in real life I bet.

    Nice one.
