Got to tag along on another hunt - this time with rain and clouds, so lots of high ISO. 20D with 70-200 2.8 IS (mostly.)

The horses are alert, anticipating the hunt:

Northwest second growth forest is not exactly Kentucky Blue Grass or a manicured English Countryside...

Everyone worked up a good sweat - or was it the rain?

Back at the Club House - refreshments await:

I got to do a couple hunts this year ,i love the red coated hunt leaders, you ve got some nice sharp shots, too bad about therain, but the exposures look good.

took a quick look at your site, love your lead in montage. so you shoot some big indoor jumping shows. do you use strobes for that or on camera flash. some nice stuff there.

    Thanks for looking!

The http://www.poulsenphoto.com site is for Tim Poulsen (although the site design and montage were my work from his images, so I will take some credit for the compliment.) I am riding his coat tails for second shooter work and shooting opportunities - such as the fox hunt pictures above. To answer your question the montage images are from World Cup (Malayasia last year) and Rolex. The indoor shots from World Cup are with a Canon 1D2 and ambient light.

Thanks again for looking at the fox hunt images and for wandering over to Tim's site.

Lovely series, some brilliant colour in this lot too, the horse look like they are working hard, and the dogs appear to be very keen.
