Spent some time over at my brothers yesterday to see my nephew and it evolved into a family shoot of sorts.

Thanks for looking and C&C always welcome.

    Hi Aaron,
I think these are photos that the family will be thrilled with. Speaking, though, from a photography perspective the only shot that gets my interest is the last one. The last shot has some interesting lighting that makes the picture much more lively than the others - which appear to be lit almost 100% with bounced flash. The bounced flash gives very even, flat lighting. I would try moving your subjects closer to windows, with maybe just a hint of flash for some fill.

I really like the expressions in the second one.

    Kapalua-

Thanks for the post and the advice. We did open the blinds to allow natural light but it wasn't enough. I see what you mean about even light but don't think it is that flat. Looking back I should have reduced the flash like you mention- so thank you for pointing that out.

    Thanks David!

It was a rare moment- he was being a bit fussy this day.

    Great Work!
More wonderful photos Aaron - you did the family proud that day!

Nice lighting in each of them and some great expressions captured.

Cute baby and nice family pics. The last one works the best for me, I like it on many levels. I think if you were willing to crop a little tighter (on the top) #2 would be a stronger shot...I like the expressions on the faces. Good job! Love taking family pics.iloveyou.gif
