This is the first picture I'm posting... the second day with the Canon S3! I'm not very satisfied with this shot though... Can anyone give me some feedback on how to improve it?

Hi Little Wombat, I like this shot though it appears to be out of focus, maybe you meant it to be like that?
It has the element of "Beware Danger Ahead" about it clap.gif
Making it a Black & White image helps make it more dramatic

Nice to see you here at Dgrin, you've only had your camera for 3 days, so your well on your way in the learning curve, the more photos you take the more you will understand your gear.

    Happy Shooting thumb.gif .... Skippy

    I like the shot too!

If I were to comment on it, Id like to see the branches in sharper focus. It can be hard to focus in the dark so you may have to manual focus or turn on your 'focus helper light' if you camera has one.

Otherwise its cool. nice and creepy.

Thanks for your comments and feedback, Awais and Aaron.

Skippy, it was actually shot in color, but I feel that b&w does it more justice. Having you guys sharing feedback helps make that learning curve less foreboding!

    Thank you.
