Nice day in LA, but the fog was hovering right over the shoreline. I didn't know what kind of shots that would give me... turns out not much, but a little PS made for a few interesting images, I think...

Hey, the birds are great. Love the order and number and how they emerge. I just missed the chance to shoot in fog on Saturday, I really want the chance to do so. I can see dark people emerging from the mist amongst tall looming trees or buildings. Or something like that.

There were a gazillion seagulls just standing there staring at the sea. I must have snapped 50 shots trying to get one where they were all still.

Being in fog when people in the distance are just hinted images is kinda spooky. The beach was deserted but every once in a while a lone image would come walking towards me. I thought maybe I'd get a cool shot, but each time I almost snapped someone's picture, I got freaked out that whoever it was would be one of those weirdos who walks alone on the beach in the fog looking for trouble.

I like all three images quite a lot. I think the bike rider would look much better if he was in the lower left third of the image, so he is riding into the image rather than out of the image. Still the amosphere is captured nicely.

    I love those birds!!!!!!

There are men waiting in the fog to prey on people????? Gosh darn, there go all the photos I planned on taking........"someday". We get fog. They say so on TV, but I don't know where to go look for it. I think it is over the marshes, or on the bridges. I don't remember ever seeing it on the beaches.

I love fog! I love those birds. The next shot is nice, too. The last shot didn't hit me.

Wonderful. You have captured the fog and the atmosphere very well. I really like the sea gulls.clap.gif

I would also suggest trying to compose the bike photo with him riding into the frame.

Love the colors on the fin shot.

The first 2 are just plain outstanding. I wish I could shoot like that bowdown.gif

The 3d one leaves me wondering if it needs a little more sand between the flipper and the bottom edge and to have the flipper a little more to the right side. The shot has so many outstanding elements but leaves me wanting to tweak it at the shooting stage.

Thanks for all the feedback! I agree that the second shot would be better with the biker coming into the frame. And I think the last one could use a different composition. The colors in the last two were all Photoshop. I wish it had really been that golden.

As far as the crazy people in the fog, it's true, Ginger. I've seen it on TV.
