I can't figure out how to do some basic things with smugmug, and am finding the help resources to be of little help.

I signed up for an account and managed to upload some photos into a gallery. I now want to let some friends have access to the gallery, both to view and to purchase pictures. And I can't figure out how to do it. I have set easy sharing on. But when i go into the gallery there's no option available for emailing a single picture (let alone sharing the entire gallery). And going to my url (xxx.smugmug.com) offers no entry as well. I would like to keep the gallery private...I'd like only those people with a password (which I've created) to be able to view the pictures.

What am I missing? Why can't I figure out how to do something that has to be one of the very basic things you'd do in smugmug.

Thanks.

If you set the gallery to private it will not show on your site and they will
need the direct link and PW to get into it.
    http://nickname.smugmug.com/gallery/xxxxxxxx

If you set it to public they will see the gallery thumb and when clicked will
    need the PW to enter.

    Make any sense?

This help page explains what "private" means, and what "password-protected" means: http://smugmug.com/help/private-albums . There's even a short video guide you can watch that shows each setting in action!
