Replace Question

When I replace a photo that someone has ordered under the sales, does my new uploaded image replace the image in the gallery as well? This does not seem to be the case? Or is the replace just slow and will my prints be correct?

I just want to make sure that the replaces I did worked. They don't show differently in the galleries. So I want to verify that they'll apply to the next order as well.

I am leaving on vacation tomorrow. I really need to get these files replaced correctly. Can someone please help?

Hello Jim,
Yes, the Replace Photo feature will replace the the image (take the place of). The url will remain intact. But the image itself should change to what you replaced it with. If you are not seeing this, there is a problem.

Thanks for your response. I have done many replaces for previous orders and now all the images (same images, another order) are the old version. I can tell as the main thing I removed was a white spot on the older man's shirt sleave. I can see it on photos I have replaced. So now I look at the latest order and it looks like if I said to ship it they would be getting the non-retouched prints.

I'm having the same issue. Replacing a photo with a retouched one, and the retouched one does not show up (although it is named with the new file name).

Steve, fixed my order issue and processed it with the correct files for the replacement. He said they are working in the replace bug.

Did you fix it, or did the helpdesk fix it? I believe I have the same issue.

I didn't fix it. I think they are still working out the bug. I just uploaded the images to another gallery for the order so the retouches were correct and they manually processed the order.

To be clear, there's not a replace photo bug. I realize that it's not performing for you the way you expect, but it is for us and others. Please work through the help desk, as I'm traveling for the next few days and our hd is in a much better position to get you sorted, fast.

I'm having the same problem. I tried replacing an image today and it would not show up. The thumb loaded but when clicked upon to make sure the new image was there nothing loaded. I finally just uploaded instead of replaced and it worked. Now I just got an order for a print that I want to retouch but I'm afraid to try and replace for fear it may not work at all.

I appear to be having the same problem still with the same gallery. The replaced images are not showing. I received another order from this gallery today, yet as I try to replace the images, they are not being replaced.

Be sure you are replacing with sRGB files?

I am sure. I think I found the problem though. Looks like you need to replace the images with one of a different file name. I was just editing the image in PS then saving my changes and uploading them. Seems to work fine with a new file name.

Actually that should have nothing to do with it

I agree, though now it shows the right file name for the image, but it still did not change the images (notice the white spot on his lower sleeve), but the file name now reflects "ps" at the end.



Now at least I know I am not going crazy. The replace feature is working great for me in other galleries.

This is the image in the gallery. I am having the replace issue in the entire gallery. I had the issue in this gallery for weeks. I actually think my customers received orders with images I thought that were replaced but weren't.

I gave up on fixing it, because all the orders shipped. Now I just received another order from this gallery. Again, the replace is not working (though it acts like it does). My phone number is on my site if that helps.

Jim, try replacing that image again. I just repaired that image - it was "bogus" in our system.

I just reloaded it. Still the wrong image. Notice the white smudge on his sleeve still. I called this file IMG_7501a

I tried several tricks.. no dice. Please reupload that photo (the edited one), and link me to it. We'll handle the new order (don't do anything with your proof delay).
