Even though I've only shot 130 frames with it, I can tell good things are going to happen. Wildlife and low light....

...just shot a few frames with the 50 f/1.4, and I believe that you are correct. For the right circumstances it's probably unbeatable. I am not a big fan of flash photography...so this one is a must.

    Nice hydrant.....lol
    Ric,
The red hydrant was kewl, but the deer shots are even nicer. That's a sweet lens and it looks like you are going to be enjoying it for a long time to come clap.gif

Likewise with the 50mm F1.4. Please post a few examples from that bad boy, when you get the chance :D

I also have a 70-200/4L and the color and sharpness of that lens are amazing. You're gonna love it. Yeah, I bought the 2.8 IS version too, cuz my hands aren't as steady as they used to be and the extra stop makes for beyootiful bokeh (not that the f4 version is a slouch, mind you).

Do some portraits with it wide open and check out the bokeh!

I love that word...bokeh. bokeh bokeh bokeh.

...I was a little worried about no IS...but wide open at iso 800...and plus1/3 ec worked out nicely handheld. Of course 300mm would have made for crisper shots on the deer (always sumpthin) biggrinbounce2.gif .

...made it easy to pick the f/4 over the f/2.8. Not that I wouldn't love to have one someday. Gotta rebuild the re$erve$ back up. :D

"First shot" reminds me of something. Anytime I get a new camera, I can always remember the very first picture I took with it!
