Umass Sports Weekend Update, via Photos
Bad weekend for umass sports, but in terms of photos TONS of opportunites to shoot.
Weekend started of with friday night women's hoops, I posted the team photo i took in another thread which im pretty pleased with but here are some game shots:
Oh and who is this!!! (ha got you first!)
Then I went to shoot Umass Women's Ice Hockey...the rink is dark so nothing spectacular:
Saturday:
Started the day off with men's hoops. The men's team, much like the women's team the night before lost because they let the game get to far out of hand and a late game rally couldnt help.
My favorite photo is the one I like to call "A priest, a hawk and a minuteman walk into a bar"
The hoops game started at noon, swimming started at 1, making a slight problem since it was senior day for swimming, so I shot the first half of hoops, ran over shot the seniors, went back over to finish hoops then went over to finish swimming. Add to that the fact the lighting totally changed, I was using a flash for swimming, it was cold out (and my lens were actually ok with this). Definatly a challenge, and it was my first time doing swimming with a flash, so I didnt have much time to get the timing down (then again it was only my 2nd time doing swimming)
I wish I had more time at swimming to monkey with the flash and camera settings. They had a meet today I almost went to but well its a long and sort of un photo related story as to why.
After swimming it was snowing and the people of NE thought the world was going to end or something...the hockey game was still on. But after the final score of 6-1 I was wondering if we could still cancel it.
There was also supposed to be a women's hoops game on sunday but that was postponed till today...dont have those up yet.
Enjoy any comments are welcome.

However, a few shots of college makes me want to play again.
Excellent pics.
