blurb booksmart download

Am I the only person having trouble with the Blurb booksmart download? Sure wanted to take a blurb spin tonight to see about a portfolio book-- and I can get their booksmart software to download but then it opens and freezes. Won't even let me minimize it or close it without the ol' ctrl-alt-delete.

I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling/downloading using three different browsers... no luck. :cry

Yeah, I sent a message to blurb, but since some of you folks here have done blurb books, I'm just wondering if I'm missing something really simple? :scratch

P.S. I've downloaded several other programs this weekend with no probs... including some lightscribe software and holy cow-- lightscribe looks amazing! But that's a topic for another thread.

figured it out
Firewall... always the dang firewall. Even though it's not mentioned on the blurb site, if you are using a firewall at low or above (basically the settings where a firewall makes the most sense), booksmart won't work.

Just posting this in case others run into this problem.
