i highly recommend getting a copy of this magazine, there are some absolutely stunning images of the empty quarter and a great article on the bedu who inhabit this region. there's a two-page photo spread of camels walking thru the desert, taking from high above, at sunset time, so that their shadows are beautifully elongated. the pic looks like an illusion :bow :bow you can see a very small version of the pic on this page

oh, there's also a story on the great gray owl in this issue, too :D

    I *need* to get a subscription for myself. I love National Geographic. I actually bought every issue from 1983-2003 from some guy off of Craigslist. :D

    I also have two great books from National Geographic. I'll try to find the links if people want.

    Do what i do mate...my parents were always asking me what i wanted for xmas so i told them to re-new a nat geo subscription each year.

    They get the re-newal notice & pay it & i just get my mag.
