False Spring, Northern Shoveler and Widgeons

Here we are with February just past and it was near 70 today in Boise :ivar . The riversides and parks were crawling with critters, two and four legged and winged.
Heres a couple of images from one of the Park lagoons off the Boise river.

This was my second chance at a Northern Shoveler. They are real skittish as Park critters go. They sort of look like a hodge podge of left over duck parts all thrown together.

& how about that.... Jeff said he saw the very same ducks in LA!!!! dang they fly fast.....or maybe the smog is getting to him:D

Nice shots. The head reflection in the water in the last shot looks very unnatural.
