1st: I think it would beneficiate from more details in the surrounding ice, and maybe not so centered, but still my favorite.
2nd : the pepper is too "rosy", IMO.
3rd : too repetitive for my taste, but with different peppers, it would be really great...
#3 is great. Careful viewing (or off axis viewing) of my monitor shows areas along the edges where you pasted the various copies of the same image into the main image. You may want to clean them up a bit. Pretty cool (hot?) shot just the same.
Please feel free to retouch and repost my images. Critique, Suggestions, and Technique tips always welcomed. Thanks for your interest.
Thanks everyone for the feedback.
As I was trying out different ideas for this theme, I admit I cheated on the black image as I didn't want to spend too much time with multiple ice cubes. However now I now which direction to go I'll spend a bit more time on the shot rather than taking short cuts in Photoshop.
Now I just have to find some bigger chillies and nicer looking cubes:D Cheers.
The idea of #3 is great but i think it needs a different presentation...what i cant say though.
Thanks for everyone's feedback
This last comment from Gus had me wake up at 4am with loads of ideas running around in my head and wanted to try different angle shots, DOF, etc - so I ended up shooting using lego bricks (they don't melt which makes it easier to try different angles ).

I like it, very creative!
#3 looks like a winner, but it's just me
Nice going! (I had something similar in mind, but will be moving on to plan . I think the third is the best as well.
