For Marc and EHughes... I'm so jealous of the beautiful backyard you both have!!!

Finally made my first winter outing to Yosemite (to catch Horsetail falls before the window of op closed)

Well, needless to say, I missed the falls due to weather, however, I did manage to grab some great late-winter shots (in between moments of putting my chains on my tires LOL)

I swear, I dont know who's idea it was to do long-exposures at night in winter in Yosemite, but now I know why I dont do them... I'm still thawing out a week later heh.

Here's some b&w shots from the trip as well.

    Very nice.thumb.gif

You have some more very nice frames of winter in Yosemite in your gallery also. Snow just dresses up a scene so nicely.

Yeah, I was kinda stuck for time on that one and was forced to use my 35mm prime as I was losing light quickly. I definately see some great different locations at that spot to get a better and less distracting forground leading to the image.

Other than that, it was great to finally see the park in snow. I gotta say, there were so many photogs there it just blew me away. Fortunately, I didnt run into any rude or pushy ones out there that week. It definately left me feeling good about our community of photogs! thumb.gif

Number three is a stunner. I like that.

You've done well and found Yosemite in a very special time of the year.

Thanks Pathfinder and Mikko. Its hard to go wrong with such a wonderous pallete in that park. I was truly awe-inspired there and felt very intimidated by the sheer magnitude of the beauty there.

Here's a few more from the park

The view from Ansel's famous b&w tree in the forground. A very wonderful spot!
